Overview

The latest integrated I2C airspeed sensor for fixed-wing aircraft using ArduPilot airspeed workflows.

  • MS4525D-compatible digital airspeed sensor with I2C interface
  • 25 x 15 x 5 mm; 2.8 g
  • 512 Hz sampling and 8 Hz refresh rate
  • 0.5 Pa RMS pressure measurement accuracy with temperature compensation

Check the sensor markings and component layout on your board against the manual and diagrams below.

Setup notes

  • For ArduPilot, set ARSPD_TYPE = 1 and follow the manual's calibration sequence after a successful basic flight test.
  • Keep ARSPD_AUTOCAL enabled only for the calibration flight, then disable it for normal operation.
  • The “Pitot-Less Digital Airspeed Sensor” manual describes this same product. The sensor and pitot tube are integrated; the manual title does not mean that airspeed is estimated without a pitot tube.
